Here you'll find an array of activities for elementary children that can be used in Children's Ministry, after-school programs, in the classroom and by homeschoolers.
Jesus commissioned his disciples to tell others the good news of salvation. They did not do this alone. They waited for the gift Jesus promised, the Holy Spirit, who enabled them to speak in many languages, do miracles in Jesus’ name, and gave them courage, wisdom, and unity. More and more believed in Jesus and accepted Him as their Savior every day! The following PowerPoint presentations tell their story and teach how we too can be witnesses for Jesus.
Pentecost — God gives us Skills to Serve Him — Acts 2
This lesson is from Acts 2. It includes a reader’s theater.
The passage for this lesson is short (Acts 2:42-47), but the message is large. In this lesson, we are encouraged to share and care for others. It includes a mission project and interactive activities. We also look at the ants and how they work together and care for each other.
This presentation could be done in 2 parts. It covers a lot of ground from Jesus’ ascension to Pentecost. Jesus promised the Holy Spirit and gave his disciples the special gift of the Holy Spirit. The focus is on the Holy Spirit and what He does.
In Jesus’ name, Peter and John heal a lame man. The story is in the song. He went walking and leaping and praising God. Even though the leaders, told Peter and John to never do or say anything in Jesus’ name again, they said they couldn’t stop. They prayed that they would be bold. They praised God and God gave them courage! 5,000 people believed that it is Jesus who saves!
This is just a short presentation of Acts 5. The kids had fun acting out the story. We were in the middle of JAMII KINGDOM VBS for campmeeting. We followed up this presentation with Day 4. You can too, here is the You Tube link.
Luke witnessed Jesus alive here on earth. He wrote down the stories for us to read in the books of Luke and Acts. We too see God working about us, even tho we can’t see Him. We see lives changed. We see people get well. We can be God’s witnesses too.
I enjoy planning lessons, directing VBS and child care programs. Children's ministry is my passion. God Almighty is my strength and inspiration. For fun I choose hiking, canoeing, camping, cooking, and reading.
