Jesus is born — Make a Nativity and Retell the Story
Praise God, Jesus came to us as a baby to a humble family. We here the story every Christmas, but it still holds the same glory and wonder.
This series of Christmas stories tell the story of Jesus’ birth in three parts and encourages kids to make their own Nativity Decor Set which they can use each week (and years afterward) to retell this precious story of Jesus’ birth.
This Power Point presentation tells the story of Jesus birth part 1. Gabriel speaks to Mary and Joseph. For the craft, kids can make their own nativity characters so that they can tell the story, too. At the end they’ll have a full nativity set. You can get the puppets from http://www.springtimedoodles.com/2014/12/nativity-paper-puppets-free-printables.htmlGet the backgrounds at this link. While they are coloring and cutting the characters out, Christmas carols will play. It finishes with a birthday party for Jesus.
I enjoy planning lessons, directing VBS and child care programs. Children's ministry is my passion. God Almighty is my strength and inspiration. For fun I choose hiking, canoeing, camping, cooking, and reading.
